One poem of Poes that I personally lie with is his poem Alone. The poem paints a work out of a person who, no issuance what, can non view the good in his witness career. No matter if the sunniness is shining or if its raining, he provided tactile propertys hopelessness. I feel that Poes use of words in this poem is raise because he is present such a negative stead of life. In his poem Alone, Edgar Allan Poe defines the life of a person in deep despondency using dark, Gothic words and symbolism. In the first 12 lines of the poem, the speaker unit looks back on his life as a child. He tells of how he was alone, isolated, and diametrical from everyone else slightly him. (Line 1, 2) He was an un exigencyed who did non fit in with the others in his life. When others saw goodness, he did not. When others were keen, he was not. When others saw beauty, he did not. He was contrasting because he could not see life the same port as others. Instead of seeing the positive in life, the speaker was only capable of focusing on the bad and evil. (Lines 2, 3) He was not interested in similar things as others were. What he was aflame roughly, others were not.

In line six and seven he talks about how even though he tried to be happy with the same things as others, he was unable to commove his heart. No matter what he did he was always bound to this life of despair. Whether in good times or bad times, he could not see the positive in his life.
